Studio Origin은 수년간의 건축적 교감을 통해 만난 김영아와 이강준에 의해 2014년 설립되었다. Studio Origin은 산업 디자인과 건축으로 시작한 이들의 서로 다른 교육배경과 한국, 미국, 영국, 중국을 넘나든 실무 경험을 바탕으로 일관된 작업들을 이어가는 Total Design Platform이다. Studio Origin은 미경험된 공간과 형태생성을 통해 대중에게 새로운 건축적 Aura를 제공하는 것을 목표로 하고 있다. 이를 위해 건축을 바라보는 새로운 시각과 새로운 기술(Technology)을 적극적으로 받아들이고 도시 전반에서부터 작은 건축 디테일까지 스케일을 넘어 매 프로젝트 마다 실험되지 않은 미지의 건축적 가능성을 탐구한다. Studio Origin은 논리적인 Geometry에 대한 기본적인 관심을 토대로 최신의 Computation Tool이 제공하는 형태생성 가능성을 새로운 재료의 실험과 구축법, 건축요소들의 새로운 해석과 실험 등 건축의 보다 근본적인 문제와 결부시켜 연구함으로써 건축공간과 형태의 새로운 가능성에 도전한다.

한양대학교 ERICA 건축학부를 졸업하고 영국 런던 AA스쿨에서 Diploma 학위를 받았다. 졸업 후 Foster and Partners에서 다년간 실무 경험을 쌓았으며 영국 왕립건축사이다. 2012년 귀국 후 현재는 한양대학교 ERICA 건축학부 교수이며 건축형태 (Geometry)에 관한 분석 연구를 진행하고 있다. 2014년 김영아와 함께 Studio Origin을 공동 설립했다.
Kang Jun Lee started his architectural education in Hanyang University, ERICA and later moved to Architectural Association School of Architecture, London where he obtained his Diploma in Architectural Design. Upon his graduation, he was hired in Foster and Partners, and worked until his home return. He was qualified as a British Architect 2012 and moved back his architectural career to South Korea. Currently he is an Assistant Professor at Hanyang University, ERICA and conducts researches on geometry analysis. 2014 he co-founded

| 김 영 아 Yunga Kim | 대표, 건축가
홍익대학교 산업디자인학과를 졸업한 뒤 일리노이 공대에서 건축 석사를 취득했다. 시카고 로컬 건축사무소인 솔로몬코드웰벤즈에서 인턴을 하고, 2008년 Foster and Partners에 입사 후 런던과 베이징 오피를 거치며 애플스토어, 쿠웨이트 국제공항, 쿠웨이트 국립중앙은행 타워, 베이징 다통 뮤지엄 등 다수의 프로젝트에 참여했다. 2014년 5월 파트너 이강준과 함께 스튜디오 오리진을 시작했으며, 현재 홍익대학교 산업디자인학과와 한양대학교 ERICA 건축학부 겸임교수이다.
Yung A Kim studied Industrial Design in Fine Art for Bachelor at Hong-Ik
University in Korea and Arcthiecture for Master at Illinois Institute of Technology in USA. She practiced at Solomon Cordwell Buenz in Chicago as Intern and joined Foster + Partners, London in 2008 and worked on several projects, including National Bank of Kuwait in Kuwait, Apple Store in USA, Kuwait International Airport in Kuwait, Datong Art Museum in China. Since May in 2014, She started her own practice with Partner Mr. Lee, Kang Jun, Studio Origin and currently an adjunct Professor at Industrial Design department Hong-Ik University and Architectural Division Hanyang ERICA.
