Great Ordinariness 위대한 일상성, 일상의 위대함. 우리는 도시, 건축, 인테리어, 그래픽 등 다양한 스케일과 분야의 관점을 공간에 비추어 바라보고 현실에서 실천하는 디자인 스튜디오입니다. 우리가 살아가는 일상에서 합리적 사고로 사람 그리고, 장소와 소통합니다. 길가에 핀 작은 식물에 골목 이야기가 있고 혼잡한 출근길 잰걸음에도 도시의 일상은 담겨있습니다. 시선에 담긴 평범한 삶의 한 순간을 간과하지 않고 일상의 삶 속에서 실천할 수 있는 작은 움직임이 중요합니다. 우리는 비현실적인 개념과 이론의 과잉을 지양하며 ‘일상의 위대함’을 실천합니다.
G/O Architecture, Great Ordinariness Architecture, is architecture, interior design, graphic design and urban design practice providing a full range of architectural and consultancy services. The office aims to embody our work with a unique sense of place and human in daily life. Our approach is anchored in rigorous research spanning everyday life and also constantly searches to advance the ways by which we recognize, interpret and redefine the quality of our built environments We practice great ordinariness with design rather than unfeasible concept and theory.
Architect
이주영 Juyoung Lee | 대표, 건축가
이주영 소장은 영국의 AA School에서 MA Housing & Urbanism 학위를 받고 공간건축사사무소, 삼성건설, Ove Arup 등 한국과 런던에서 실무를 쌓았다. 네덜란드 건축사로 현재 서울시 공공건축가, 서울시 마을건축가로 활동하고 있으며, 한양대학교 ERICA 겸임교수이다. 일상의 삶 속에서 실천할 수 있는 작은 움직임을 다양한 프로젝트를 통해 선보이고 있다.
Lee, Juyoung is a registered architect in Netherland and works as a Seoul Public architect and architectural committee member in Anyang. She is currently teaching architecture design at Hankyong University. She received a MA in Housing & Urbanism from the AA School in London, UK. Following her postgraduate studies, she worked at Ove Arup (London), Parritt Leng Architects(London), Space group(Seoul) and then at Samsung C&T (Seoul). Her experiences a wide range of architectural and urban projects implemented in various locations, local and abroad.
