루브릭스 아키텍츠는 영국 런던과 서울에서 연구와 디자인을 중심으로 활동하고 있는 건축사사무소다. 영국, 한국, 동남아 그리고 아프리카 등에서 주거, 상업, 문화 공간을 만들어 내며 젊은 건축사무실로 자리잡고 있다. AA School, 영국왕립미술원, 캠브리지 대학과의 관계를 통해 건축과 도시에 대한 담론을 넓히고자 노력하고 있습니다.

Rubrics Architects is a multi disciplinary design and research based architecture practice in London and Seoul. We are quickly establishing as a young and emerging architects with diverse international body of work includes cultural, residential and commercial buildings and spaces as well as urban projects.

We believe the centre of space is always human. Our approach endeavour precise response to the human that inhabits and to the place that receives them with strong focus in meticulous attention to the concept and details in achieving the wonderful perfume of architecture. The practice is known for its theoretical position which emphasises the study of system made up of architecture, infrastructure, and landscape, the outcome of the cultural, political, social and environmental achievements of the city.

This design focus is complemented by an intelligent and inventive approach to construction have proved to satisfy exceed our clients’ expectations and positively impact the urban realm. With a close relationship to the Royal College of Art, Architectural Association School of Architecture in London and the University of Cambridge, Rubrics strive to expand the discussions on the city and architecture.

Architect

김 진 Jin Kim | 대표, 책임건축가

책임 건축가 김진은 AA School of Architecture 에서 건축 설계 학사와 석사 (AA Dipl) 를 전공하고 후에 캠브리지 대학에서 도시경제학 MPhil 석사 학위를 받고 영국왕립미술원에서 박사학위중이다. 영국과 한국에서 실무 경험후에 현재는 루브릭스 건축사사무소의 책임 건축가로 활동하고 있다.

Jin as a chartered architect and urban researcher is practising as a director of Rubrics Architects based in London and Seoul, which focus on exploring the relationship between architecture and the city through reductive elements, their typological transformation, the order and the framework. His practical portfolio has been recognised with several architectural awards.
Previously, Jin have studied at the Architectural Association School of Architecture (AA School) with AA Diploma and the University of Cambridge where he acquired MPhil in Planning, Growth and Regeneration. In academia, he has been directing and tutoring at the AA Visiting School Seoul since 2013 and regular critique at the AA and the RCA.
