텍토닉스랩은 김현대와 김수경의 파트너십으로 운영되는 건축디자인연구소이다. 건축디자인을 중심으로 조경, 마스터플랜, 그리고 제품디자인에 이르기까지 다양한 스케일의 작업을 수행하고 있다. 이들의 작업은 영국 Financial Times, Dezeen, 이탈리아 Divisare, 미국 Architect Magazine, ArchDaily, 한국 SPACE 등 다양한 국제저널에 소개됐으며 2018년 국제건축전시 프라하 국제건축전(Architecture Week Prague)의 초청작가로 선정되었다.
Tectonics Lab is an internationally recognized transdisciplinary design laboratory. Established by Hyundai Kim and Sukyung Kim, the laboratory provides a full scope of involvements with the relationship of architecture, landscape, and product design. Its research-based methodology embraces practice with theory, materialization with philosophy, and conceptualization with sensibility.
김현대, 김수경 | 공동 대표, 책임 건축가
김현대는 연세대학교 건축공학과에서 학사를, 미국 프린스턴대학교에서 건축석사 학위를 받았고, 미국건축사(AIA) 및 LEED AP 자격을 갖고 있다. 현재 이화여자대학교 건축학전공 건축설계 교수로 재직 중이며, 2015~2017년에 서울시 공공건축가로 활동했다. 김수경은 이화여자대학교에서 건축학사를 받았다.
두 사람은 2016년 텍토닉스랩(Tectonics Lab)을 공동 설립해 건축, 도시, 조경, 제품디자인 등의 경계를 넘어서는 형태적 상관성에 관심을 갖고 지속적인 연구와 실무를 동시에 진행하고 있다.

Hyundai Kim holds a Master of Architecture from Princeton University and a Bachelor of Engineering from Yonsei University. He is a Professor of Architecture at Ewha Womans University, and was nominated to the public architecture committee of Seoul City 2015~2017. Sukyung Kim received a Bachelor of Architecture from Ewha Womans University.
They co-founded Tectonics Lab, a transdisciplinary design laboratory whose work revolves around architecture’s transitional relationship to urbanism, landscape, and product design.
