Philosophy

집은 사람이 살아가는 시간의 흔적으로서의 공간이다. 피상적 구조물은 변하지 않으나 삶을 담는 그릇으로서 공간과 시간을 투영시키는 정도에 따라 집의 가치가 달라진다. 집 앞에서 혹은 내부 공간에서 익명성의 이면을 승화시켜 만남이 있는 공간, 쉼의 여유가 있는 공간을 반영하고자 노력하며, 공간과 장소에 대한 애착을 기반한 커뮤니티가 살아있는 건축물과 도시를 구현하고자 한다.
‘행복한 삶을 디자인하는 건축가’로서 건축은 하나의 건축물을 디자인하고 축조하지만 도시에서의, 동네에서의 잔잔한 스토리를 담아 더 확장된 도시의 컨텍스트와의 관계성을 중요시 한다.

‘Housing’ is a place as one’s tracks of time. While superficial structure stays the same, the value of house changes depending on the degree of reflecting space and time as a container for holding one’s life. The other side of anonymity in front of house or interior space is transformed into the space for meeting others and space with leisure while seeking to realize living buildings and city with community based on attachment toward space and place. While buildings are designed and built as an ‘architect designing a happy life’, the relationship with the context of the city extended by reflecting the stories of the city or town is emphasized.

문영아 Mun Young A | 대표, 책임건축가

문영아 이즈모어앤씨건축(Is More & Creative Architects) 대표는 (주)종합건축사사무소 건원(Kunwon Architects)에서 오랜기간 실무를 쌓았고, 프랑스 파리 라빌레뜨 국립건축대학(Ecole d’architecture de Paris La Villette, France)에서 C.E.A.A와 D.P.L.G 과정을 거치면서 유럽과 아시아의 도시와 주거에 대해 공부하였으며, 연세대학교대학원에서 도시설계를 공부했다. 도시재생과 지역사회애착에 관한 논문(Community Attachment of Residents Living in Residential Environments following Urban Regeneration)으로 박사학위를 취득하였다. 이러한 다양한 실무경험과 학문활동으로 건축과 도시의 경계를 넘나들며 작품활동 중이다.

Mun Young A, representative of ISMORE & CREATIVE ARCHITECT OFFIC, has built up practical experiences at Kunwon Architects for a long time. Mun studied urban residence in Europe and Asian regions through C.E.A.A and D.P.L.G courses at Ecole d’architecture de Paris La Villette, France. Mun also studied urban design at Yonsei Graduate School and received doctor’s degree with a paper on urban regeneration and community attachment (Community Attachment of Residents Living in Residential Environments following Urban Regeneration). Based on various practical experiences and academic activities, Mun is continuing activities in architecture and urban fields.

건원건축 재직 당시 ‘은평 뉴타운 마스터 플랜’, ‘신길 뉴타운 마스터 플랜’, ‘부산 사상구 청사’, ‘광교 에듀타운 마스터 플랜’, ‘행복도시 첫마을’, ‘알제리 아부라 프로젝트’ 등의 대규모 프로젝트에 참여했다. 사무소 개소 이후에는 아프리카 기니 단지 계획 및 복합시설, 구리 주택, 세곡동 주택, 곡성 주택, 능동 주택 등 크고 작은 주거 프로젝트와 송도 효자병원, 용문대학원대학교 리모델링, 해피트리 카페, 커피와사람들 카페 등 다양한 범위의 건축 및 인테리어 관련 프로젝트들을 설계하고 있으며, 수유1동 도시재생활성화 사업, 성내2동 도시재생활성화 사업 등의 도시재생관련 프로젝트들을 수행하고 있다.

When working at Kunwon Architects, Mun participated in large-scale projects such as “Eunpyeong New Town MasterPlan”, “Singil New Town MasterPlan”, “Busan Sasang-gu District Office”, “Suwon Gwanggyo Edu-Town MasterPlan”, “First Town of the Multi-Functional Administrative City”, and “Algeria Abura Project”. After she opened her own office, Mun is currently involved in Africa Guinee complex planning, small and large housing projects such as composite facility, Guri housing, Segok-dong housing, Gokseong housing, and Neung-dong housing. Mun is also designing wide ranges of projects related to architecture and interior such as Songdo Hyoja Hospital, Yongmoon Graduate School of Counseling Psychology remodeling, Happy Tree Café, and Coffee and People café. In addition, Mun is currently carrying out urban regeneration projects at Suyu 1-dong and Seongnae 2-dong. 

인덕대학교, 우송대학교, 충북대학교, 동서울대학교 등에서 겸임교수 및 외래강사로 건축 및 공간디자인, 도시계획 등의 교과목을 10년여 강의하는 등 다양한 교외활동도 겸하고 있다.

Furthermore, Mun is also active in various extracurricular activities. For instance, Mun has been lecturing on Architecture & Space Design and Urban Planning at Induk University, Woosong University, Chunbguk National University, Dong Seoul College for over 10 years as adjunct professor and visiting lecturer. 

2014년부터 ‘집톡’이라는 건강한 집짓기를 위한 건축사들의 모임활동으로 토크쇼, 세미나, 전시회 등의 다양한 방법으로 일반인들에게 ‘찾아가는 건축 서비스’를 뜻을 같이하는 건축사들과 함께 진행하고 있다.

Since 2014, Mun has been working with other architects on the group activity named “Zip Talk” for health house building. With “Zip Talk”, Mun and other architects have been providing “Visiting Architecture Service” for people through talk shows, seminars, and exhibitions.

최근에는 지역의 건축사로서 광진구 도시안전.청소.환경분과의 협치위원으로 활동하고 있으며, 자칭 ‘어쩌다 동네건축가’로서 능동에 ‘I.M 능동 주택’을 설계해 거주와 사무실을 운영하며, 그것을 계기로 같은 동네에 10여 채의 주택설계를 진행하며 동네 건축가로 활동하고 있다.

Recently, Mun is active as a member of governance in Gwangjin-gu Urban Safety, Cleaning, and Environment Department as a town architect. As a so-called “Happened to be a town architect”, Mun designed ‘I.M Neung-dong” housing in Neung-dong. After that, Mun became a town architect and designed 10 housings in Neung-dong.
