리미트리스LMTLS는 뉴욕과 서울을 기반으로 한 건축디자인 그룹으로, 공동 설립자 이대호, 이재열, 이범기는 그들의 건축적 학업의 바탕이 되어준 메사추세츠 공과대학(MIT)에서부터 활동을 함께 해왔다. 이후 프로젝트 코디네이터 한해미(하버드 조경디자인)의 합류를 통해 그 건축적 탐구영역을 더욱 확장해 발전시켜오고 있다.
LMTLS는 Limiltess의 약자로 끝도, 한계도, 경계도 없는 디자인이라는 목표 아래 각각의 프로젝트가 지니는 잠재적 한계와 제약을 뛰어넘는 창의적인 디자인 사고를 통해 그 해법을 찾아내고자 한다. 특정한 방식에 국한되지 않는 다양한 사유를 통해 각각의 프로젝트에 맞는 최적의 디자인 방안을 제시한다.
LMTLS is a New York and Seoul based architectural design group whose three co-founders, Daeho, Jaeyual, and Beomki have begun their work together at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) during the course of their Master of Architecture studies. Since then, the project coordinator Haemee (MLA Harvard GSD) has joined to further expand the area of their architectural exploration.
LMTLS stands for Limitless and seeks to find solutions through creative design thinking that surpasses the potential limitations and constraints of each project with the goal of establishing design manifestation without end, limit, or boundary. With a multitude of design approaches, not limited to stereotyped and conventional methods, they seek to suggest the optimal design direction for each project.

이대호 Daeho Lee | 공동 대표, 건축가
LMTLS의 공동설립자 겸 대표. 건축 및 도시 디자인의 분야에서 다양한 활동을 이어왔다. OMA, BIG, 소후지 모토 및 DAVID ADJAYE (ADJAYE ASSOCIATES) 등의 디자인 오피스들을 거치며, 미국과 유럽, 일본 등을 비롯한 전세계에 걸쳐 다양한 스케일의 작품 활동을 경험하고 리드했다.
3년여의 OMA 재직 기간 동안 그는 뉴욕 버팔로 ALBRIGHT KNOX 아트 갤러리의 국제 현상 초청 공모전 당선작의 디자인에 참여했고, 마이애미의 주거 타워, 일본의 오피스 타워 등의 프로젝트에 기여했다. 카타르 도하의 도시 마스터 플랜 제안에도 참여했다. 런던을 본사로 둔 Adjaye Associates 뉴욕지사에서, 그는 LA에 위치한 고급 상점 디자인을 리드했으며, 뉴욕의 레지덴셜 타워 및 아프리카 가나의 도시 마스터 플랜에도 참여했다.
연세대학교에서 건축공학을 최우수 졸업생으로 졸업하고, 미국 MIT에서 건축학 석사 학위를 받았다.
Daeho Lee is a co-founder at LMTLS. He has various experience in architecture and urban design field. Daeho has wide range of professional work exprience in Office for Metropolitan Architecture (OMA), Bja- rke Ingles Group (BIG), Sou Fujimoto Architects and Adjaye Associates with a number of projects in the US, Japan and Europe.
In 3 years exprience at OMA, Daeho Lee actively participated in the winning international competition for Albright Knox Art Gallery, Residential Tower in Miami, and office tower in Tokyo, Japan. He also participated in urban design projects in Doha, Qatar. With Adjaye Associates in New York, Daeho Lee led/participated on projects including a luxury store in LA, residential tower in NY and several masterplan proposals in Ghana.
Daeho received a Master of Architecture from Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) in Cambridge, U.S and a Bachelor of Science in Architecture from Yonsei University in Seoul, graduated summa cum laude.
이재열 Jaeyual Lee | 공동 대표, 건축가
LMTLS의 공동설립자 겸 대표. 미국에서 대규모 캠퍼스 마스터플랜부터 작은 스케일의 인스톨레이션까지 다양한 프로젝트를 설계했다.
그는 OMA 뉴욕 오피스, Adjaye Associates, RAAD Studio, Gil Even-Tsur Architecture Workshop에서 건축 활동을 하였으며, 다양한 북미 프로젝트에 참여했다. 또한 뉴욕 OMA 오피스에서 페이스북 캠퍼스 마스터플랜 제안서 작업에 참여했으며, 뉴욕 RAAD Studio에서 맨하탄 중심에 설치된 Low Line 프로젝트 인스톨레이션을 리드했다. Adjaye Associate에서는 뉴저지주 프린스턴대학교의 미술관과 미시간 디트로이트 수변개발 프로젝트의 파빌리온, Los Angeles의 14만 제곱피트의 건축 프로젝트 등 다양한 규모의 프로젝트들을 리드했다.
미국 MIT에서 건축학 석사 학위를, 일리노이 주립대에서 건축학사를 각각 받았다.
Jaeyual Lee is a co-founder at LMTLS. He has numerous experience in architecture/interior art installation/urban design field. Jaeyual has led design of a diverse range of projects in the US, ranging from large scale campus master planning to public art installation.
Prior to founding LMTLS Jaeyual has worked in Office for Metropolitan Architecture (OMA), Gil Even-Tsur Architecture Workshop, RAAD Studio and Adjaye Associates in New York. With OMA, he has led multiple large development projects such as facebook headquarter campus extension. While he was at RAAD studio, he has managed “Low Line” Lab project that was built and installed in the heart of Manhattan. At Adjaye Associates, he has lead multiple projects that are in different scale, such Detroit Water Front Pavilions and Museum at Priceton University, NJ. Jaeyual was also leading a 140,000 sq ft confidential cultural project in south Los Angeles.
Jaeyual received his Master of Architecture from Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and his Bachelor of Science in Architecture from University of Illinois, at Urbana-Champaign.
이범기 Beomki Lee | 공동 대표, 건축가
LMTLS의 공동설립자 겸 대표. 뉴욕의 GENSLER, 도쿄의 Kengo Kuma & Associates, 파리의 Philippe Rahm Architects를 거치며, 건축 및 실내건축 디자인 분야에서 광범위한 활동을 해오고 있다. 그는 기술과 재료에 대한 폭넓은 이해와 지식을 바탕으로 각 분야의 선두 주자인 고객들을 위한 중요한 프로젝트의 디자인을 주도해 왔다.
지난 5년 동안 그는 GENSLER 뉴욕 오피스에서 필라델피아의 COMCAST TECHNOLOGY CENTER와 ARAMARK 본사, 뉴욕의 NYU TANDOM MAKER SPACE, SILVERLAKE PARTNERS 오피스, 그리고 DEUTSCHE BANK 북아메리카 본사 등 의 프로젝트에 참여했다.
건국대학교 건축학을 졸업 후, 미국 MIT에서 건축학 석사 학위를 받았다. 미국건축사협회의 준회원이며, 뉴욕, 이타카, 캠브리지, 도쿄, 교토, 서울 등 다양한 작품 전시 경력을 가지고 있다.
Beomki Lee is a co-founder at LMTLS. He has a wide range of experience in both architecture and interior design
in Gensler New York, Kengo Kuma & Associates in Tokyo, and Philippe Rahm Architects in Paris. With an extensive understanding of technology and materials, he has led design efforts on projects for clients who are leaders in their industries.
Last 5 years at Gensler New York, Beomki Lee has had leadership role througuout projects including Comcast Tech- nology Center in Philladelphia, Aramark HQ in Philladelphia, Tandom Maker Space at NYU, SilverLake Partners Office in New York, and Deutsche Bank North America HQ in New York.
Beomki received a Master of Architecture from Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) in Cambridge and a Bachelor of Science in Architecture from Konkuk University in Seoul, graduated summa cum laude. Beomki is an associate member of the American Institute of Architects (AIA), and had participated in numerous art, photography, and architecture exhibitions in many places in New York, Ithaca, Cambridge, Tokyo, Sendai, Kyoto, and Seoul.
